K.D Jadhav, a wrestler because of whom the country got its first ever individual Olympic medal in the 1956 Helsinki Olympics. An incredible wrestler who was known to defeat his opponents in minutes thus, getting the name of “The Pocket Dynamo”.

This exceptional wrestler still had to pay for his own expenses to play in the Olympics as there was no one to sponsor him. Later, his life met with a tragic fate. To this day he remains the only Olympian who never received any padma award.
